How Humitech Works

Humitech filters operate by filtering air and water particles through a 100% natural mineral compound, Sorbite (also known as Guerite), which is completely non-toxic and safe to use in any refrigeration environment.

What makes it unique is that the mineral both absorbs and desorbs moisture to create the ideal refrigeration environment. In doing so, refrigeration environments run cooler and more efficiently, saving significantly on power and maintenance. In doing so, fresh produce shelf life increased by up to 50%.

In addition to maintaining the ideal humidity, the mineral absorbs and holds onto airborne bacteria, thus eliminating cross contamination and odours. Humitech filters are quickly and easily installed and the filters are rotated monthly, by a Humitech representative.

The panels are cleaned and recycled no waste or pollution.

The filters work around the clock, no power requirements or moving parts.

Humitech is the only system in the world that absorbs excess humidity from the air but also releases moisture back in the air, always maintaining the optimal food storage conditions.

  • Humitech Panels contain a unique mineral, Sorbite (also known as Guerite), which absorbs and desorbs up to 48% its weight in moisture.
  • Humitech owns the only known source of this mineral in the world
  • No mechanical parts, uses no electricity, non-toxic, works 24 hours a day

Humitech Client Quotes

Richard Burt - Executive Chef - Fellini Restaurant.

"In today's kitchen, Humitech filters are not a luxury they a necessity. The filters pay for themselves many times over."

Rob Mclauchlan - National Food Safety Manager - ABC Learning Centres Ltd

"Humitech is the next major step in the evolution of refrigeration."

Danny Loone - Chief Engineer - Palazzo Versace, Gold Coast, Worlds first 6 star Hotel.

"I am pleased to report that our tests proved that Humitech systems tested in or pastry and seafood walk-in cold room: reduced odours and hence air bacteria; reduced moisture; added quality by reducing sweating on pastries, berries and chocolate; lowered the ambient temperatures of the cold rooms. It is logical that energy use will decrease. The filters reduce fridge maintenance and have the potential of increasing the food life in the event of power failure."

John Davis - Manager - Byrnes Wholesale Meats.

"Our meat is fresher, longer and we have halved weight loss. Humitech is so simple, yet so effective."
